Shows

So I saw Twilight of course! But i got to see the premier at 7 oclock! It was soo much fun, Melanie Brower is amazing and so cute. When you walked into the theater you got a VIP pass and on the back you could either find a black scribble, red scribble, and different sayings. I had a black scribble so i got a bookmark. Some of the others were 'bella's perfume' and that person got perfume that i guess has just been made and titled bella's perfume. If it said 'Edward' then you got a black sparkly blanket and 'icy cold' gum. If it said 'Jacob' then you got a brown fuzzy blanket and 'red hot' gum! hahah She's cleaver. But I did like the movie. I went in with no expectations....so maybe that's why they did better then i thought! But i was surprised! The actors were really good! I liked it.

I also got to see Aida at the Hale Center Theater with miss sophie hall! Love her. But the show was absolutely amazing! and i could see that musical over and over again and love it everytime. We were belting aida songs all the drive home :)

Finally Answered!!

I was finally answered for preference today. And i gotta give him probs.. haha pretty good. So story, i asked him in a freakin awesome way, but apparently there weren't enough hints so he was stuck listening to a Cd forever confused out of his mind. I didn't think it was that hard, but hey, i made it so there's the difference. So for a couple weeks, he would keep telling me.. "megan, i'm going to answer you! oh but you wait, it's gonna be so hard...it'll take you forever to figure it out!" So here i am expecting this crazy puzzle of some sorts...leading to all these clues and going on forever until i just give up and figure it's a yes. Well, one doorbell ditch later and there's a plate wrapped in tin foil with a note on my porch... it read, "You hit the right note. It would be a real treat to go to preference with you!! -- darren walker" and underneath the tin foil!!... a giant cookie shaped as a music note! cleaver boy!! hahha i definately enjoyed it. he apparently gave up on making it challenging.

Getting Control

Things are finally starting to come together with my college applications. Weber was easy, had that thing done and shipped, scholarship the next week. But BYU Idaho....dah!! The deadline is Dec. 1st...which is coming up out of nowhere! The application gives you 2 steps at first...and once you get through those...BAM it hits you with seven more. These are more intense, like interviews with the Bishop and Stake President, and have seminary teacher go online to fill out information about you. All i'm thinking is... my seminary teacher likes me right?... But I've gotten through the bulk, have my interviews scheduled for this Tuesday, one right after the other... so it'll be done in a night thank goodness! So i'm feeling pretty good right now, not that stressed overwhelming can't breath someone pull me up from this slouched crap I need to get going on that position...

Body Worlds

I went to Body Worlds 3 today with kids from the health classes at school. And, it was absolutely amazing. There are two floors to the exhibit, they say the first should take about an hour, and the lower floor about a half. So they gave the students wow..and hour and a half. Budget time people. Well, the group i was with, did not even finish the first floor when they told us our whole huge group was already downstairs and our time was up. So!! We had to quickly glance, take a glimmer of everything on the lower level...which by the way has a ton more full body exhibits. So that was kind of lame, but over all... I loved it! The human body is insane. I don't understand how it manages everything that it does, but if it didn't....then we'd be dead. In this first picture, you wouldn't know unless you were there, but the girl has had a knee, hip, shoulder and ankle replacement! All on her left side, so she's been through some trama, but it's so interesting because they fold back some of the muscles so you can see the metal knee, and the rode going down the arm from the shoulder replacement. It was pretty crazy to see. But here are some of the cool facts I learned that I wrote in my nifty little pocket book they gave us...
They had a big ol poster that talked all about Lance Armstrong and his amazing heart. He by the way was already born with a 30% larger heart, but in addition to his amazing active lifestyle... his heart is huge. His resting heart rate is 32! Which is ridiculously slow! A normal human heart beats between 60-100 beats per min. Mine is 80... which is okay. But 32! Can you imagine if your his nurse trying to take his pulse... uhhhhh and a 1.................2........... I'd probably think we was dead waiting for the next pulse. But when Lance is at the top of his game cycling, his heart rate exceeds 200! Now healthy males at exertion at that age only average 150... so he has an insanely fit heart. Good for him. Yay lance!

The human hand has 27 bones controlled by 37 skeletal muscles.

Your nerve cell signals can travel up to 250 mph.

If you took your cerebral cortex and spread it out flat, it would be approximately 16 square feet.

Your brain consists of 14 billion nerve cells

Skeletal muscles make up almost have of the weight of your body. So if for some reason you want to loose more then half your weight...good luck trying!

Your brain is only 2% of your body weight but it needs 20% of your blood supply.

After only 4 weeks an embryo already has a heart and eyes.
And after 8 weeks, organ differentiation is largely completed.

The heart pumps roughly 1,800 gallons of blood through your body daily. 3 ounces of bood with each beat.

Pumpkin carving

My design is called vampira... i decided it's bella once she becomes a vampire!

Now for the carving..

And the finished product!!

Okay so this shot isn't the best, and she does look a bit freaky, but! I like it all the same.

My favorite picture, Natalie's a dead sleepover girl, and I'm a nurse trying to hear her non-existent heart!
